Halo fine-tuning framework launches with 2.8x TRL throughput and MoE recipes
JosephJacks_ · x · 2026-09-22
The open-source post-training framework Halo has launched, focused on efficient fine-tuning:
- Up to 2.8x the throughput of stock TRL with lower peak memory
- Models stay in native HuggingFace format, no conversion needed
- Ships with two MoE fine-tuning recipes: LFM2.5-8B-A1B and LFM2-24B-A2B, plus an SFT notebook in the Liquid4All/cookbook repo (2.5k stars)
A practical open-source option for developers fine-tuning sparse MoE models on limited hardware.
