Max Tegmark replied "Likewise" endorsing a critique that EA's reputation nosedived once normal people and mainstream politicians encountered the ASI-extinction thesis and simply responded "let's not do that" — shifting the author from seeing the thesis as hard to refute to viewing EAs as unusually bad thinkers.
