Amazon blocks Meta's Muse AI agent from shopping on users' behalf

Amazon has disabled Meta's Muse AI assistant from accessing Amazon.com to shop for users, citing security risks, terms-of-service violations, and lack of consent from merchants on the platform.
The move comes as Meta builds a transactional ecosystem around agentic payments via a Stripe partnership. Muse hit No. 1 on the App Store, recently expanded into Canada, and lets developers build connectors to third-party apps like Notion and Granola.
The poster expects this to be temporary: it makes sense for Amazon to block first and then negotiate, and the Stripe friction will likely get worked out.
