No standard CPU:GPU ratio: agentic AI demand hinges on hyperscaler scale-up domain choices
BenBajarin · x · 2026-09-22
Ben Bajarin's free Diligence Stack note argues agentic AI will drive major server and client CPU demand — he has raised his datacenter CPU TAM forecasts twice since March's 'Secret Agent CPU.' But CPU:GPU ratios can't be turned into a single demand forecast: each hyperscaler will configure differently, and the key variable is the scale-up domain, the compute fabric topology that is priority number one for serving inference at scale and monetizing compute. Covers Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, Arm, and Qualcomm positioning.
