Jev ships completions API — but its maker says don't use it for text generation, only scoring

TypeSafe AI announced the Jev completions API and Jev Playground, and made Jev available in its AI gateway. Notably, the team explicitly warns against using Jev for next-character prediction — it makes no sense, they say — and positions the model as a great fit for classification and scoring tasks instead, consistent with its non-autoregressive design that outputs calibrated probabilities rather than generated text.
