OpenAI says model trained just 24 days ago has solved 100+ longstanding math problems

OpenAI announced that a new internal model, training only since August 28, has resolved more than 100 longstanding open problems across most areas of mathematics, in addition to the claimed Navier–Stokes Millennium Prize problem. The pace surprised even OpenAI's own mathematicians.
An independent advisory group of top mathematicians — including Edward Witten, Timothy Gowers, and Martin Hairer — will help assess the results, uphold academic standards, and coordinate responsible release.
