NVIDIA launches DSX Ready to qualify power and cooling products for AI factories

NVIDIA introduced DSX Ready, a qualification program for partner products meeting its DSX AI factory reference design requirements, helping builders evaluate offerings under power, cooling, water, and grid constraints with lower integration risk.
- Two initial categories: battery energy storage systems (BESS) and cooling distribution units (CDUs). First qualified BESS vendors: Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution, and Tesla; qualified CDU vendors: LG Electronics, LiquidStack, and Vertiv.
- BESS partners run required qualification tests and submit data for NVIDIA review; CDUs use a self-qualification suite. Passing qualification doesn't replace site-level engineering.
- The DSX platform unifies compute, networking, power, cooling, facilities, and software into one system — optimizing one part in isolation just shifts the bottleneck elsewhere. More categories will roll out over time.
