OpenCut is a free, open-source video editor (MIT license, no watermarks or paywalls) with 87k GitHub stars. It ships an MCP server so you can plug Claude Code or Cursor into the editor and simply ask the agent to make cuts on the timeline. It works on web, desktop and mobile, and is being rewritten in Rust with a plugin system.
