StepFun says it is urgently scaling up online capacity after the Step 5 Preview launch drew a wave of users to its Discord. Step Plan subscriptions are temporarily unavailable, and yesterday's API instability has been fixed. The team plans to offer free Pro subscriptions to PhD students and researchers once capacity allows, and is soliciting hard real-world problems across finance, healthcare, legal, engineering, and manufacturing.
