Meta partners with Arm on AGI CPU, its first data center chip designed for AI era

Meta announces a multi-generation silicon partnership with Arm to co-develop a new class of data center CPUs, starting with the Arm AGI CPU — Arm's first data center CPU designed specifically for AI workloads. Meta infra head Santosh Janardhan says the custom silicon will boost performance density and support gigawatt-scale AI deployments, extending Meta's chip portfolio beyond its MTIA accelerators.
