Exponential View's first AI Investment Brief analyzes S&P 500 earnings calls: 33% of companies this season made quantified statements about AI use (up 10pp YoY), and 15% quantified AI's business impact (vs 9% a year ago). Cost/productivity claims average a 47% boost; revenue/demand claims average 40% and rose to 18% of claims. Examples: FIS's agentic programs cut tickets 70%; GE cut processing time 90%. "Agentic" appeared in 24% of calls (vs 9% in Q1 2025) while "Generative AI" fell from 13% to 5%. Takeaway: AI adoption is steadily being measured, but remains very early.
