Perry Metzger on Yudkowsky: walls of text that hide logical errors

Engineer Perry Metzger sharpened criticism of Eliezer Yudkowsky's writing: he never uses a sentence when a page will do, 'wallows' in his own words, and uses torrents of text to conceal logical errors and mistaken assumptions. Followers are told true understanding requires tens of thousands of pages, so most give up and assume the fault is theirs. Metzger says his first step has always been rewriting such essays into plain sentences — and they almost always reduce to a tiny fraction of the length.
