Open-source 3DGS tool LichtFeld goes end-to-end: real-time SLAM reconstruction at 30 FPS

LichtFeld Studio, an open-source (GPLv3, 3.7K GitHub stars) 3D Gaussian Splatting tool, is previewing a shift toward an end-to-end pipeline. Where traditional SfM pipelines fail, its SLAM-based dense reconstruction runs in real time at 30 FPS and 1920 px, turning a four-minute monocular walk captured on a DJI Osmo Action 4 into a dense point cloud plus camera poses. The desktop app bundles 3DGS training (C++23/CUDA), splat editing, Python plugins and MCP automation for Windows and Linux.
