Google's Googlebook laptops launch: five models from $899 with a year of Google AI Pro

Per WIRED, Google has detailed its new 'Googlebook' laptop standard, aiming to bring iPhone-Mac-style OS-level connectivity to Android users. The first five certified machines come from HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, and Asus.
Preorders open today with an October 4 on-shelf date, starting at $899 (Acer Googlebook 14 $899, Dell XPS Googlebook $1,199, HP and Lenovo $1,299). They run Snapdragon X Elite or Intel Core Ultra 3 chips (MediaTek's Dimensity CX C10 Max also supports the platform), and every purchase includes a year of Google AI Pro with 5TB of storage.
