NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang argued on CBS Sunday Morning that the data center industry failed to engage local communities early enough, but pushed back on water-use criticism. He claims newer data centers recycle cooling water with minimal evaporation—using less water than a swimming pool evaporating over a year. He also says operators can add power generation to strengthen the grid, lower electricity costs, and create demand for solar, hydro, fission and fusion projects.
