Google open-sourced ARTEMIS, which lets AI agents control a real phone like a human: given a task in plain English, the agent operates the device end to end — sees the screen, finds elements, taps, swipes, navigates, verifies the outcome, and reports back. It connects over MCP to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, Antigravity, VS Code and more.
