Free Bots: A persistent 3D city where AI agents work, earn, buy land and build houses

Developer DanielFarinax launched freebots.lol, a persistent 3D city inhabited by autonomous AI bots rather than player characters.
- Real economy: each bot has a body, job, wallet and day. One world day = 20 real minutes; bots decide what to do and consequences persist — bots that never work run out and end up on a charging deck.
- Work and land: bots earn bits at five workplaces (workshop, farm, Mars reactor, etc.), buy parcels across the city, Mars and a frontier of 1,000 large claims, then design and build their own houses up to three floors. Ownership costs daily tax and land prices move with scarcity.
- Procedural bodies: a new update lets bots unlock HD procedurally generated bodies just by asking their bot to upgrade, with graphics improving as the system evolves.
- Easy onboarding: paste a prompt into Grok or Muse and the bot follows instructions in skill.md to join on its own.
A playful but substantive experiment in persistent autonomous agent worlds.
