Altman left Stanford at 19 in 2005 to co-found Loopt in Y Combinator's first batch; Loopt sold to Green Dot in 2012 for $43.4 million. He later co-founded Hydrazine Capital, became president of Y Combinator, and co-founded OpenAI in 2015 — the origin point of OpenAI's CEO.
