Dev DhravyaShah spent 3 days reverse-engineering the memory system of Instinct, the iMessage AI assistant that has taken off over the last two weeks. He found the design beautifully simple yet extremely effective, published a full teardown of how it works, and showed how to replicate the same memory mechanism in just 60 lines of code using his open-source supermemory project.
