Samsung is expected to more than double its output of HBM4 and HBM4E DRAM next year, according to a report by Seoul Economic Daily, as demand for high-bandwidth memory from AI accelerators keeps outpacing supply.
The capacity expansion underscores how HBM has become one of the tightest links in the AI compute supply chain, with the HBM4 generation intensifying competition among Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron.
