Picteus: open-source local indexer gives every Stable Diffusion output a searchable full recipe
shivam_dewan · reddit · 2026-09-21
Picteus is an open-source, fully local indexer for Stable Diffusion outputs—no account, nothing uploaded, files never moved or renamed. Each image gets a detail page with its full recipe: source tool, model and version, prompt, exact command with flags, generation id, parent image, plus extension-computed extras like Ollama-generated captions, dominant colors as hex, background removal linked to the original, tags, and raw metadata—all searchable.
Extensions hot-reload inside the app, and the author offers to build workflow-specific gaps in days rather than roadmap them. They're recruiting five users with large libraries to watch how the tool falls over in real use.
