Founder says frontier lab's Jev copies his 2025 non-autoregressive decision model paper and open weights

Nandakishor Mukkunnoth, founder of ConvAI Innovations, argues that Jev — the non-autoregressive fast decision engine launched in September by frontier lab TypeSafe AI (founded by ChatGPT co-inventor Diogo Almeida) — is not a breakthrough. He published an arXiv paper (2503.23303) in March 2025, released open weights, a dataset, and a PyPI package, then formalized the RL-guided schema-decision framework in a second paper (2510.01237). His Laya system is an open-weight System 1 decision engine with sub-35ms latency, 100+ language routing, and calibrated probabilities. Jev launched with no papers or open weights. Reposter Arpit Bhayani draws the lesson: 'show your work' — building something extraordinary means nothing if the world never notices.
