New hire at a big company: every spec, test and PRD is now written by Claude Code
mohbibi_ · x · 2026-09-21
An engineer two weeks into a role at a big company reports that specs, code, tests, PRDs, tickets and reports are all generated by Claude Code, and nobody on the team actually understands the system. Management insists pushing code isn't the bottleneck while engineers work 12-13 hour days effectively just pressing enter; nobody reads anything from L1 to L7. The reblogger adds that AI makes it easy to feel productive without making real progress, while leaving less time to think about goals.
