ICLR 2027 has reportedly received 60,000+ submissions — more than all previous ICLR conferences combined. Quoting that figure, botsandbits argues the conference's per-author cap of 20 papers is "insanely large": with conferences running every 4 months, nobody meaningfully contributes to 20 papers in that span, and the cap should be 3 instead.
