MiniMax H3 3-step LoRA tested: ~13 min vs 48 min for Fused Turbo, with a small quality tradeoff
cgpixel23 · reddit · 2026-09-20
A ComfyUI user tested the new MiniMax H3 Fast Tao Mate LoRA (3-step video generation) against the Fused Turbo workflow, with VRAM/sampling optimizations and a second-stage upscaling pass.
Speed (0.3 MP generation + 1.2 MP upscale):
- Tao Mate 3-step: 1 min 16 s + 12 min ≈ 13 min total
- Fused Turbo 8-step: 7 min + 41 min ≈ 48 min total
- Tao Mate 8-step: 4 min + 12 min ≈ 16 min total
Quality: Fused Turbo still produces cleaner results with better detail and less grain; Tao Mate is surprisingly close given the speed gap but shows graininess and slight blur in some scenes. The 3-step workflow is compelling for fast generation on limited VRAM. Full workflow, settings and tutorial are on Civitai and YouTube.
