Qiyuan launches consumer robots Q1 and T1, with T1 morphing between biped and quadruped

Qiyuan Robotics unveiled and opened sales of two consumer-grade robots, Qiyuan Q1 and Qiyuan T1, at a Shanghai launch event. Key points:
- T1 is a morphing robot: indoors it runs as a wheeled biped; outdoors on grass, steps, or gravel it automatically switches to a quadruped form, with no manual intervention.
- Home-friendly design: near-silent wheels, in-place turning, compliant force release on contact, plus natural touch and hand-holding interactions.
- Follow-filming: in partnership with Insta360, T1 can hold a gimbal camera and pull off pro moves like dolly zoom and orbit shots from a single "follow me" command.
- T1 Pro can also carry items for users.
The author notes home robots are arriving far faster than expected, and mentions a friend who wanted to spend a lifetime building eldercare robots now feels the dream was too small given AI's pace.
