OpenAI has launched Astra for Law, a legal-focused solution powered by GPT-6 Astra that integrates specialized tools, settings, and context to assist lawyers and legal-tech companies.
The package includes legal analysis and drafting instructions, deep work settings, a Legal Search Index covering 230M+ URLs of US case law, statutes, and regulations (updated daily), plus 26 partner plugins (Thomson Reuters, Harvey, Legora, iManage) and 47 community plugins. Sullivan & Cromwell, Ropes & Gray, and Cooley co-built practice-specific tools, with Trusted Access providing privacy and governance controls.
