Viral claim says Devin and Claude cracked RSA-260 and RSA-896 — almost certainly false

A viral X post claims Cognition's Devin cracked RSA-260 using $400k of B200 GPUs two weeks ago, and that Anthropic's Claude cracked the larger RSA-896 with 2,048 GPUs in 10 days, quipping that "encryption cracking is too cheap to matter." Note: factoring RSA-896 is far beyond any publicly known compute capability; this is almost certainly a meme or fabricated claim with no official or paper backing.
