Frustrated Suno user switches to open-source YuE2, matches old model quality locally

A long-time Suno subscriber says the new V6 model pushed him away after Suno retired the well-liked V4.5/V5/V5.5 models. Right around that time, the open-source music model YuE2 launched, and after ten days of testing he reports generating songs locally at roughly the same quality as older Suno models — with no subscription and no false-positive content filters.
Remaining gaps he notes:
- No "Voices" feature yet to reuse the same singer across songs
- The cover feature is still hit-or-miss
His verdict: the open-source route is now a credible replacement for the closed service.
