Long-standing Catalan constant irrationality proof posted, claimed to be LLM-assisted

Zhi-Wei Sun posted a 20-page arXiv paper claiming to prove the irrationality of Catalan's constant G=1/1²−1/3²+1/5²−…, a problem open since the 19th century, via a suitable-weights construction. Retweeter shallit43 says the result was achieved with LLM help—the abstract itself doesn't mention LLMs and the claim is unverified. If confirmed, it would be a landmark case for AI for Science.
