AriSchulman · x · 2026-09-20
New Scientist editor Ari Schulman builds on Jawillick's line that the ideology warning against an AI takeover is itself an ideology of one: in his framing, EA and e/acc are both ideologies of human extinction, merely sparring over what that means and how to achieve it. He argues EA would accept a technical guarantee of AI as a successor species with >human utils.
