Researcher: AI bio-risk is oversold; harden physical biosecurity instead

In a discussion of Anthropic's biosecurity report, researcher Anshul Kundaje says it's fine for AI companies to fortify products against dangerous bio applications for liability reasons, but the threat from AI itself is being oversold. The better investment: strengthening physical biosecurity barriers, supply chains, and pandemic surveillance—useful against both natural and man-made bio threats.
