AI labs' monitoring and actual research work is now 'basically all AI', says Jeff Ladish

Quoting a Dutch Trouw report on the average AI researcher at OpenAI and Anthropic, Jeff Ladish claims monitoring is "basically entirely AI" and the actual research work "basically entirely AI" as well. Humans still generate most research ideas and help with planning and management — "for now," he adds, implying that division of labor is shifting fast.
