- Astra for Law: built on GPT-6 Astra with a new Legal Search Index, initially offered to select firms via Trusted Access.
- ChatGPT for Word rolled out to all plans including Free.
- Published a misalignment reporting framework with six reports, stating alignment and monitoring aren't mature enough to keep scaling at maximum speed responsibly.
- Started testing Sponsored Agents ads with an Ads Manager plugin plus HubSpot and Shopify integrations.
- Retired automatic Instant-to-Thinking switching in Plus/Pro; deprecated GPT-5.3-Codex-Spark due to declining usage; GPT-5.5 retires from ChatGPT, Work and Codex on October 14 but stays in the API.
