Hugging Face researcher Nathan Lambert argues that AI forecasting discourse is flawed because it asks "when will AI replace X job?" In reality, AI will gradually replace many of the sub-skills needed for a job, but rarely all of them at once — making job displacement a gradual, piecemeal process.
