Reacting to a "50/50 chance OpenAI runs out of money by next summer" bet update: OpenRouter July data shows OpenAI's weekly revenue overtook Anthropic's, but FT-cited data shows Anthropic's 12-month retention is nearly double. Garrison Lovely adds that the analysis ignores OpenAI's biggest advantage—Greg Brockman's $25m donation to Trump—and that OpenAI pushed its IPO to 2027 or later while retconning the safety excuse to make Anthropic look irresponsible for IPOing.
