Developer orhundev highlighted ratatui-spinner, an open-source library of customizable, stateless spinner widgets for Ratatui terminal applications.
- Six spinner types, all driven by an application-owned animation tick, differing in layout, motion and size
- LinearSpinner: scrolling rows and bouncing columns for inline activity or narrow side columns, with configurable direction, flow, length, colors and speed
- BarSpinner: moving arcs on horizontal/vertical tracks, 4 motion modes, 16 symbol style pairs, plus zed, claude, minimal and solid presets
- FluxSpinner: animated glyph effects
Available on GitHub (ratatui/ratatui-spinner), a handy drop-in for Rust TUI developers.
