Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and xAI have been sued for allegedly colluding to slow down AI. bindureddy argues that if they collude to slow AI today, they may collude to ban open-source tomorrow — though he notes there is very little evidence justifying a coordinated slowdown, while each lab should still be accountable for its own closed models.
