NovelAI's ban policy effectively kicks out all Chinese users, and discussion is censored
shira-maru · reddit · 2026-09-19
A large number of Chinese subscribers are being banned from NovelAI. Since direct subscription is unavailable in mainland China, users buy through resellers who set up and pay for the account with their own IP while the user logs in from a different one — the IPs never match, so under the current ban policy virtually every Chinese user gets banned.
The poster says raising ban issues in official communities gets you muted, and support emails only return automated replies followed by endless waiting.
