One-shot with Cognition's SWE-2: a working Game Boy Advance emulator from minimal prompts
A developer tested Cognition's SWE-2 model by giving it a Game Boy Advance emulator project with almost no instructions, to see how it would plan, test, and design.
- The one-shot result "was incredible": the model built a reasonably detailed replica of the GBA hardware and UI on its own
- It independently added gamepad support, saves, and more
- A follow-up "tidy up your work" pass was described as "scarily good"
- SWE-2 is free until October, so the whole experiment cost nothing
