Claude Code adds AGENTS.md support in v2.1.277, falling back when CLAUDE.md is absent

Anthropic announced that Claude Code now supports AGENTS.md (the convention from Codex) as of version 2.1.277: when a folder has no CLAUDE.md, Claude will detect and use AGENTS.md instead. The behavior can be toggled in /config. Reposters suggest this is a good moment to clean out stale entries in your AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md — teams juggling multiple AI coding tools can now consolidate on one agent config file.
