Palantir CEO Karp: AI regulation is meaningless if it dilutes companies' legal liability

Palantir CEO Alex Karp told CNBC that AI regulation becomes meaningless if companies can use it to weaken their own legal responsibility for the systems they build. If a company believes its technology could cause catastrophic harm, he argued, civil and criminal liability must remain the first pressure forcing that company to control the risk.
