Specter Core: an open-source multi-agent governance experiment with no final authority, not even the ASI

Guilherme Peralta Novaes, creator of the MIT-licensed Specter Core, is exploring a research direction he calls The Continuum: how to grow human+AI capability without producing an unchallengeable coordinator. The core invariant: no final authority — not even an ASI, not even the founder.
Current engineering pieces include explicit agent interfaces, durable state, deterministic routing, receipts, verifier gates, and owner-controlled execution. The next layer is constitutional coordination across heterogeneous agents without hiding real authority in the credential layer, orchestration node, or infrastructure provider.
Failure modes he wants stress-tested: correlated model failures and shared blind spots, constitutional drift over long-running agent loops, collusion or de facto centralization, distributed systems whose root authority actually lives in credentials or deployment infra, and making high-impact actions reversible and attributable. The repo is FOSS and he's soliciting attacks on the design.
