OpenAI reportedly buys GlassImaging for $300M+ to rethink AI camera imaging

A WSJ report says OpenAI acquired camera startup GlassImaging for over $300M (unconfirmed), adding to last year's $6.5B io deal with Jony Ive. Meanwhile AI phones are accelerating: Apple's iPhone 18 and ByteDance's Doubao phone assistant (launched on Nubia NaviX Ultra) both landed this week.
