Claude Code adds AGENTS.md support from v2.1.277, converging on one open standard

Claude Code now supports AGENTS.md: starting in v2.1.277, if no CLAUDE.md exists in a folder, Claude will check for and use AGENTS.md, with a toggle in /config. Anthropic's Romain Huet called it a sign of the ecosystem converging on one shared standard for coding agents.
