Nate Soares (@So8res), researcher at MIRI, released a debate video saying many people's understanding of AI developments is stale even since July, and the debate was an attempt to clear those up. AI outreach host Peter Bowden says he's finishing the video while planning upcoming Community Conversations on AI, calling it "spicy."
For those tracking AI safety and AGI-timeline debates, this is a notable public appearance from a well-known alignment researcher.
