Per the Financial Times, OpenAI expects spending to far exceed revenue even as it forecasts revenue growing 10x from $36B this year to $350B by 2030. Across 2026-2030 it projects $840B total revenue against $856B of compute spending and $278B of cumulative cash burn — meaning compute costs will keep outpacing income despite rapid growth.
