Claude Code 2.1.277 adds native AGENTS.md support, toggleable in /config

trq212 announced that Claude Code now supports AGENTS.md: starting with version 2.1.277, if no CLAUDE.md exists in a folder, Claude will check for and use AGENTS.md instead. The behavior can be toggled in /config.
This brings the tool-agnostic AGENTS.md convention into a mainstream coding agent, letting teams write project instructions once and reuse them across tools. omarsar0 endorsed it: "This is the way."
