Tesla starts 2.8 GWh GREEN TURTLE battery project in Belgium with 640 Megapacks
XFreeze · x · 2026-09-19
Tesla Energy has begun construction on GREEN TURTLE in Belgium: 640 Megapack 3 batteries delivering 700 MW and 2.8 GWh (4 hours at full output), directly connected to the high-voltage grid—enough to match the daily use of 385,000 households. Tesla is also the EPC partner handling engineering, construction, and long-term maintenance. The cobalt-free LFP project targets commissioning by end of March 2028.
