Univer ships Office Harness: an open-source runtime so AI agents can actually do office work

Univer has released Office Harness, targeting the next bottleneck for AI agents: not reasoning but execution. Hand an agent a spreadsheet, a doc, and a deck, and parsing formats, moving data, rebuilding context, and validating output become the real work.
Univer is an open-source Office engine with 30k+ GitHub stars across Univer and Luckysheet, unifying spreadsheets, docs, slides, canvases, and relational tables in one runtime. Office Harness adds what agentic work needs on top:
- Connected data across files
- Validation of outputs
- Isolated worktrees for safe execution
- Human review at critical steps
Architecturally, the Univer Office SDK is the foundation, with the CLI, plugins, and Workspace built as experiences on top of it. The pitch: agents should do the work, not just describe it, and the missing piece is a native Office layer for agents.
